Description: This layer originated from the 2010 Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) dataset developed by the USGS in partnership with other government and interested organizations "to meet major national needs regarding geographic names and their standardization and dissemination". The data consist of point locations with corresponding feature names. All point entities are categorized by feature type. Originally downloaded from AGRC, this dataset is occasionally updated by Washington County GIS. The last update to this dataset was 10/14/2019.
